one outtake on life

In our group of five we had to make a one shot film this is when you make a recording of a film using only one perspective and one take.

for this out group tested out a few ideas.
the first idea was to think of a lift and to film each level as an emotion, using each floor as a phone conversation that people in a relationship might have and feel.

third floor: which was the highest floor was a happy conversation, what was seen was a woman (me) laughing about meeting someone.

second floor: this was a man (Troy Browne) having an angry conversation accusing this other person of betrayal.

first floor: this was another woman (Jacqui Pickup) having an emotional conversation apologising to her other half.

I didn’t like the outcome to this film as I thought the sound quality was poor. Also as we filmed on location the lighting is different for each floor and I felt this gave a poor effect.
Overall I wasn’t happy with this film as I felt the lighting and sound quality let it down.

The second film we took around 20 balloons and threw them down a 6 floor staircase. The idea of this being that the balloons are charming but the idea of coming down the middle on a high staircase being dangerous if scary.
We filmed this at two angles one being from the top and the second from the bottom.
I believe that the angle from the bottom was best
